In my little group, we usually don't think very hard about food either. Our
normal counter-service-
as you: locking in meals at precise times disrupts the "flow" of the WDW visit.
At our most recent trip, we made the mistake of ordering seconds of Whispering
Canyon's family meal and had to cancel half a day to go back to the room and
sleep off that meal! :-)
Under our usual super-laid-back approach, using the Disney Dining Experience
card will provide a few convenient discounts, but they're good enough if you're
not having to double-check your watch after every attraction to see if it's
time to go eat. For MouseFest 2008, I'm planning on seeing how may DDE meals I
can squeeze in, but mainly just to see how many I can do.
