Try to setup Max bar in chart = 500, this is under tool/options/charts.

Quite often, no very often, MT4 just freezes for 5 seconds. Sometimes even more.
The app doesn't crash, but I just can't do anything with MT4 during that time. No scrolling, moving crosshair or attaching an indicator.
The behavior is very similar to a PC with the CPU(s) loaded to 100%
During this lockup the CPU usage jumps 25% while without the lockup the load is only 5%
All other applications on my PC are still quick and responsive during that lockup.
I have to mention I use a quad core system and 25% load translates into 100% load on 1 core.
Meaning on a 'normal' P4 MT4 would have grabs 100%

Anyone has the same behavior? A fix? Reinstalling doesn't really count as a fix because soon this behavior returns after a fresh install...

BTW my MT4 setup:
- 1 H1 chart
- 2 MAs

But the same behavior happens with every indicator. Even with empty charts.
